CENTENARY CELEBRATION

Were you a member of

3^rd, 20^th 8^th or 19^th South West Cheshire  Scout Groups?

Our Scout Group is the second-oldest Group in South West Cheshire and was 100 years old on 4^th July 2021.

Sadly COVID prevented us celebrating, but we are planning to mark our 101^st anniversary this year over the week-end of:

Friday 1^st to Sunday 3^rd July 2022

Our current Group, the 3^rd SWC (Wolverton) resulted from a merger of the 3^rd SWC (St Paul’s and All Saints) and the 20^th SWC (Wolverton) in 1987. The 20^th had previously formed after a merger of the 8^th and 19^th SWC in the 1970s.

All previous members, leaders, parents and friends of any of these Groups are warmly invited to join us at a convenient point over the week-end where we hope to include displays of current Scouting as well as photos and memories of the past.

Planning is still at an early stage, but we hoping to have our current Scouts, Cubs and Beavers camping at Milldale campsite with an ‘open house’ on Saturday 2^nd July so you can compare current Scouting in Action with that of your own experiences from the past. In the evening we will hold a celebratory Campfire which will also a memorial to Les Davidson (‘Big Les’) who I’m sure many of you may remember.
