About us

Our HQ is based on our own small stretch of land behind Albion Street in Crewe. At the group we have three sections with children from ages 6 to 14.

About Us

We’re an active scout group based just off Albion street in Crewe, each year we provide our young people with the tools and opportunities they need to help to develop skills for life.

This is done through a huge range of activities run by our leaders who have a wealth of knowledge and are supported by training provided by our HQ. We host 3 sections at our headquarters, Beavers (6-8), Cubs (8-10.5) & Scouts (10.5-14).

All 3 sections have a dedicated leadership team who design and run the fun filled programme. As a result, each year we provide a huge range of activities through all 4 seasons, these are aimed at all Scouters of every ability from our smallest Beavers to our bravest Scouts. Our activities range from open water swimming to hill walking in the Lake districted, plus everything in between. Let us not forget the most important activity… Camping! We definitely do our fair share of this throughout the year.

On site we have a central building that houses all of our sections alongside an extensive store where we keep all of our equipment that allows us to run our fantastic programme. We are also fortunate to have our own field on site, year round we use this field to enable a varied programme without the need to travel away from our hut. It allows us to run a huge range of our programme on site from den building, tent pitching, fire lighting, first aid training & pioneering projects just to name a few.

The history of the 3rd Wolverton starts just over 30 years ago with the merging of two older groups – the 3rd and the 20th. This change brought about a new necker which displays the red of the 3rd and the black of the 20th. Our experience and facilities enables us to deliver a wide range of activities in every section of our group.

Section meeting times:

  • Beavers – Monday evening 17.30 – 18.45

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
